Youth aquatic programs in ISD 709 school facilities are offered as a partnership between Duluth Community Education and the Lake Superior Swim Club (LSSC)
Registration for Youth Swim Lessons is easy and secure.

Changes due to COVID-19:

  • Our programs follow all current guidelines from the CDC and MDH to provide a safe in-person learning environment.
  • If you or anyone in your household has been exposed to COVID-19 or has any symptoms that are aligned with COVID-19, please stay home.
  • Participants must come dressed and ready for lessons.
  • Locker rooms may be used for changing into dry clothes after lessons, but showering is not permitted.
  • Participants will access the pool through the main pool door and exit out the locker rooms. Participants will not be allowed to go back into the pool area.
  • No spectators are allowed for lessons.
  • All participants must follow one-way traffic flow around the pool.
  • One parent or household member must accompany students in Aqua Tots, Level One, and Level Two.
  • LSSC Instructors will be teaching from on-deck, and not in the pool with the students.
  • LSSC Staff will clean and disinfect locker rooms, doors, bleachers, and ladders between sessions.

Winter 2021 Swim Lessons will be held at the Ordean East Middle School aquatics facility located at 2900 East 4th Street, Duluth, MN. Please enter from the parking lot in the rear of the school building off N. Hawthorne Road.
