Healing Art Journal

Are you grieving the loss of a loved one or experiencing another loss in your life? Over the course of 3 sessions, you will create your own art journal and get assistance in creating your pages. Your journal could be filled with thoughts, feelings, or memories. An art journal can include drawing, collaging, photographs, painting, writing, and more to express your thoughts and emotions. You don’t need to be able to draw or paint to enjoy art journaling. You will learn simple techniques for using papers, inks, paint, and other medium to create pages. Additional supply fee of $25 due to the instructor at class (cash or check).

Painting 101
Arts, Crafts, and Hobbies

Instructor: Deb Hannu Want to learn about composition and color? How to ‘get started’ with a painting? What types of paints are out there, and what’s best for what purpose? Experiment with some tips, tricks and techniques as you dip a brush into the world of painting. (Recommend taking Drawing 101 first!) Painting Supply kit available for purchase from instructor (upon request) for $25. This class is for adult students.

Beginning Oil Painting
Arts, Crafts, and Hobbies

Come join us in this beginning oil-painting class. Learn basic techniques, prep and finishing of your oil painting. We will paint on canvas as well as hand-held saw blades. We will practice realism techniques creating simple scenes. Class is 2 nights to allow for background drying time. Additional $40 supply fee payable to instructor at first class.

Wet-Felted Eyeglass Case
Arts, Crafts, and Hobbies

Come join the fun and create this Lake Superior-inspired eyeglass case using New Zealand Corriedale wool with curly locks and (included) button. Each case is one of a kind. Please bring hand towels, a plastic grocery bag and an apron (you may get wet). Please bring an additional supply fee of $30 (cash or check) to instructor at class.

Drawing 101
Arts, Crafts, and Hobbies

Instructor: Deb Hannu Want to learn to draw better? Or even just learn to draw, period? This class is for you! Learn tips and tricks for drawing from real life, as well as techniques for tapping your own creativity and imagination. If you can write your name, you have the motor skill needed to draw! No experience necessary; bring some pencils (HB, 2B, or 4B), pens (black ink, medium tip) or ultra thin-tip markers and some drawing paper! Drawing tools packet available for purchase from instructor (upon request) for $15. This class is for adult students.
