Learn a new instrument, the “pan,” in this Caribbean based ensemble. This band is designed for those that have already taken the beginning steel band class and wish to move to a more difficult repertoire. You are also a good candidate to bypass the beginning ensemble if you are a person with musical ensemble experience (playing/singing) and have basic music notation reading skills. The band will play traditional Trinidad & Tobago styles such as Calypso and Soca along with other Island classical styles. Class meets at College of Saint Scholastica, Tower Hall, room 3265.
