  • Driver Education

    Driver Education Duluth Public Schools Both In-Person and Distance Learning Options - Behind the Wheel Included - Winter 2024 dates are to be determined. Program Information: Students must be at least 15 years of age by the last scheduled classroom session. Program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind the wheel instruction. Class attendance is mandatory (if the student does not complete a full 30 hours of classroom instruction they will not be able to take the permit test). Computer with camera, microphone, and ISD 709 email account is required for the online class only. Students in the online class must participate with mic, as they are called on frequently to assure active participation Classes usually fill up very quickly. You should go to the website before the registration date to create your account or check your current account. Fees: The cost of the full program (classroom and behind the wheel) is $400 and must be paid when registering using Visa, MasterCard or Discover.   • Family, Friend & Neighbor (FFN) Sessions

    If you are caring for the children age 5 years and younger of family, friends or neighbors - these sessions are for you! Monthly one-hour sessions will include a circle time with stories, songs, and finger plays. Children and caregivers will participate in activities and experiences that foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical and language skills.

    We offer a large array of general interest classes. Classes include planning for retirement, organizing your home, self-improvement, looking for a new home, and much more! Check our listings to see what is currently available.
  • Music

    Are you wanting to learn how to play a new instrument or looking to join an orchestra? We have an offering for where ever you are in your music journey.
  • Pool Activities

    Duluth Community Education provides public access to pool facilities with open swims, swim lessons, and pool rentals. The aquatics program also includes water aerobics, scuba diving, kayaking, specialty training and after school swim teams in the middle school. The pools are operated 11 months of the year. OPEN AND LAP SWIM SCHEDULE Ordean East Community School Saturdays 1/20-5/11 TIME: 11:15 AM-1:45 PM (No Swim 2/10, 2/17. 2/24, 4/20) COST: $4 or Punch Cards Available from the Lifeguard (10 Punches for $30). Lifeguard supervised. All ages welcome. Perfect for families and groups. There will be special designated lap swim lanes. Balls, water wings, toys, and noodles are not allowed.
