An overview of a multifamily housing model started in Denmark and brought to the United States in the late 1980’s. Cohousing combines a collaborative and cooperative community of private residences with common spaces, activities, and governance (no shared income). Examples in the U.S. will be discussed. As we work on regular habits for five weeks, we spend time writing together every week and there will always be a chance to share what you’ve written, but no pressure to do so.
